Santa hat disco balls are such a festive way to gussy up any room for the holidays in colorful and whimsical style.
This Christmas DIY project might be the easiest one around and I just adore the fun display it creates for our holiday dining area.
These are the easiest to make and I love that they make a huge impact in our dining room for very little effort and cost.
And not to worry, no disco balls are harmed in this Christmas decor!
Because I don’t ruin the disco balls, you can reuse them after the holidays, by just removing and storing the hats.
All this holiday bling and hardly anything to store. That’s definitely my decorating style.
DIY Santa Disco Balls
To create your own disco ball santa hats you’ll just need to gather a couple supplies.
Materials:
1. Disco balls in whatever size you prefer. I found a great deal on these two 12 inch disco balls and love my larger disco ball for a bit of variation.
2. You’ll also need pretty colored santa hats that work with your Christmas decor. Luckily, these come in so many colors and sizes, the long hanging pink one is by far my favorite and on sale now!
3. A sturdy rope for hanging and an eye screw for attaching the disco balls to your ceiling.
Process:
All you have to do to create this fun Christmas disco ball look is to poke a hole in your santa hat.
First though, I place the hat on the disco ball to find the right positioning for the hat.
Then use a hole punch or scissors to punch a small hole in the hat.
Tie off the rope securely on the disco ball hook and thread through the hole in the Santa hat.
The final step is to hang your new Christmas disco balls from the ceiling for a festive addition to any room.
If you don’t want to hang these — I’ve also sat them upon my bar, desk, or anywhere you want to add a little festive holiday fun.
Happy decorating! -Victoria
